Terms of use

Updated 2026-09-02. Filthfactory · United Kingdom.

The deal

These terms are a contract between you and Filth Factory Music, a sole trader in the United Kingdom trading as Filthfactory. English law and the courts of England and Wales apply. You must be 18 or over.

Listening to mixes, charts, Who's on what and linked live rooms is free. Going live from the booth and dropping mixes requires a paid membership.

Membership

Resident is £5.00 a calendar month. Featured is £15.00 a calendar month and advertises your live on Discover while you are on air. Prices are in GBP. We are not VAT-registered, so no VAT is charged. If that changes, this page will say so.

Membership is a rolling digital subscription. It starts when Stripe confirms payment and renews each calendar month until you cancel in Account. Cancel stops the next renewal and ends booth access immediately. We do not refund the current month once it has started, except where UK law says we must.

Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you a 14-day cooling-off right for distance contracts. Digital content is supplied immediately when membership starts. By ticking the checkout box you consent to immediate supply and accept that you lose that cooling-off right for that period.

Web purchases are taken by Stripe on behalf of Filth Factory Music. If you later install Filthfactory from Google Play, digital purchases made inside that app use Google Play Billing, as Google requires.

Gifts

Live gifts and DJ payouts are not on sale yet. Buttons that look like gifts do not take money and do not pay DJs.

When gifts are switched on: they will be digital goods you buy from Filthfactory during a live, not cash transfers. The DJ will receive 50% as a talent / revenue share. Filthfactory will retain 50%. DJs are not employees or workers of Filthfactory. Gift income is theirs to declare to HMRC. Minimum payout will be £20.00. We may hold a payout until identity checks are complete.

Your content and music rights

Filthfactory does not hold a blanket PRS, PPL or MCPS licence. You may only go live or drop a mix if you own the rights or have a licence that covers this platform. Playing someone else's records without a licence is your breach, not a feature.

You grant Filthfactory a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, stream, cache and display your mixes, lives, titles, artwork and chat so the service can run, including advertising Featured lives on Discover.

You warrant the content is yours to publish, is not illegal, and does not infringe anyone's rights. We will remove reported copyright material. Repeat infringement closes the account.

Third-party stations, YouTube and Mixcloud

On air / Just gone live may show links, titles and artwork for independent UK stations and for public YouTube or Mixcloud rooms. Those broadcasts belong to the station or the DJ. We do not licence their catalogue. A play button on Filthfactory is a link or a technical wrap of the station's own stream so it can play on HTTPS — it is not Filthfactory radio.

Buy links on NEW RELEASES go to Beatport. We do not sell downloadable tracks and we do not run a Beatport affiliate programme.

Acceptable use

Follow the Community rules. We can remove content, suspend or close accounts for breach, illegal activity, or risk to other users. We can refuse Featured placement.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that UK law does not allow us to limit.

We provide the service as a live platform. Streams can drop. For paid membership, if the booth is unavailable for a prolonged period we will extend time or refund a fair portion. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the membership fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim, except where the law says otherwise.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new date. Continued use after that date is acceptance. Questions: legal@filthfactory.co.uk.
